Kaleidoscope Series 06: Chado - Way of Tea

Join us for an evening of exploring the art of Chado with a Seattle-based Urasenke Tankokai Seattle Association. This Kaleidoscope webinar will show you how to enjoy the way of tea as a guest! Keiko Tanaka of the Tankokai Seattle Association will explain some highlights of Chado while her students demonstrate what to see in the tea house as well as how to have sweets, accept tea from the host, handle the tea bowl, drink tea, and view the tea bowl and other utensils.

After you learn the basic steps of the Urasenke-style tea ceremony, there will be a Q&A with Keiko Tanaka, who is not only a respected tea teacher, but also Chief Administrator of the Tankokai Seattle Association.
