Washington Park Arboretum Loop Trail Grand Opening

azalea-way_cherry.jpg

Please join us for an afternoon of public festivities celebrating the opening of the new Loop Trail in Washington Park Arboretum. There'll be a ribbon-cutting, live music, free snacks, food trucks, and fun activities all along the 2-mile loop.

At the Japanese Garden, we'll celebrate the occasion with a scavenger hunt for kids from noon - 3 p.m.

Construction of the Arboretum Loop Trail started on March 28, 2016 and was funded by mitigation for the SR 520 Bridge rebuild. The new trail improves visitor access to Seattle’s flagship public garden. It also improves the connectivity between the larger public garden to the Japanese Garden on the west side of Lake Washington Boulevard, making it more enjoyable for visitors to enjoy both sites on a single visit.
