This Japanese national holiday celebrates the happiness of children; embrace the celebration and join in the fun.
Memorial Day family-fun in the beautiful setting of Seattle's premier Japanese Garden!
Join us as we celebrate kodomo no hi, Chidren's Day with tons of live performances and hands-on opportunities to experience Japanese culture in a most spectacular garden setting.
Kids of all ages will enjoy storytelling about a young ninja girl, a Japanese sword demonstration, origami making, playing with miniature Zen gardens, scavenger hunts with prizes, and more.
Best of all, children will be invited to feed the koi fish in the pond.
There will also be complimentary guided tours for the older kids and adults at 12:30p.m. who want to learn more about Japanese culture and history.
Admission is FREE for kids 12 and under. No advance purchase of adult tickets necessary. Annual passes are accepted for this event.
